Orzo pasta chicken salad / Sałatka z kurczakiem i makaronem orzo

We're constantly thinking about the trip, but for the next three weeks life still goes on as normal. And Hubby wants to be fed ;) I've been planning to make this dish for a while now - it's the Januray dish on my BBC Good Food calendar, and with January nearly gone I finally got down to it!


Nasze myśli skupiają się ostatnio głównie na wyjeździe, ale przez kolejne trzy tygodnie wciąż trzeba się zajmować codziennymi sprawami. A Męża trzeba czasem nakarmić ;) Planowałam przyotowanie tej potrawy już od jakiegoś czasu - to danie stycznia w kalendarzu, który kupiłam z magazynem BBC Good Food. Styczeń dobiega końca, a mnie w końcu udało się za nie zabrać!








Let's get ready to travel!

There's so much to sort out before our journey - not only is it a long-distance one, but a long one too - we'll be staying in Pakistan for a whole month. 








As I mentioned previously, it's my first trip there, and Hubby hasn't travelled for quite a while, so we needed to work quite a few things out - what we need to sort out before the journey, what about our health, what to take with us... All in relatively short time. So it's pretty much an inexperienced traveller's guide and I'm only writing about what's relevant to me.

Time for an adventure!

Can you believe that my Hubby hasn't been home for nearly 8 years, since he came to the UK in 2007? Not that he never wanted to, but there was always something in the way. But "good things come to those who wait", and it's finally time for us to go.





Welcome in 2015!

So it's 2015. How was the New Year's Eve? Hubby and I finally got a chance to go and see London fireworks together! Although we realised just before going that the event was ticketed, meaning we couldn't get to the main spot, we still managed to get a very good spot in St James's Park.

Halal Food Guide - look out for...

If anyone still remembers, a while ago I wrote an amateur series on halal and haram foods. 

So everyone knows that alcohol and pork (and pork products like gelatine) are forbidden for Muslims' diet. But apart from that, there are a few ingredients that are quite as important in making food products OK to eat.

Niedawno dostałam do przetestowania patelnię Green Earth od firmy Ozeri. Przyznaję, że już od jakiegoś czasu miałam ją na oku, więc ucieszyła mnie wiadomość że patelnia do mnie jedzie ;) Po tym, jak padł nam twardy dysk, w końcu recenzja!

Seabrook Crisps - Tuna crunch sandwich

Seabrook Crisps are celebrating National Crisp Sandwich week, and they are looking for the best crisp sarnie recipe! When I saw this announced by the Tots100 team, I didn't have to think twice ;)







Tuna and sweetcorn is probably our favourite sandwich filling. I think it was actually the Hubby who first introduced me to the crisp sandwich idea - we would buy sandwiches in town, get packet of crisps to go with them, and then open the sandwiches up, stuff them with crisps and eat like that. Now tuna sandwich without some crisps is not the same ;)

Spicy cheese biscuits / Pikantne serowe ciasteczka

I'm a little bit behind with it, but here's this week's Great British Bake Off challenge!

This Wednesday we saw contestants make variety of savoury biscuits, and here are mine - cheesy biscuits with black onion seeds. Buttery, but with a strong kick of chilli.
